  • Our program in Spain is designed for children aged 11 to 17 years old, offering age-appropriate activities that balance fun, adventure, and learning.

  • The camp is located in Valle de Arbás, León, in Northern Spain. It is a historic city known for its beautiful landscapes and UNESCO cultural richness. Campers will explore local landmarks and enjoy outdoor adventures in the surrounding area.

  • The camp runs for two weeks during the 2025 summer.

    Dates: June 20th - July 3rd.

  • The camp fee covers all meals, lodging, activities, excursions, transportation from and to the airport to the camp, and transportation within Spain, including the day trips to León and Cueva de Valporquero. It also includes accident and travel insurance for any injuries during camp activities. The fee does not include the flight fare. 

  • Campers will stay in a comfortable, safe, and supervised facility with shared rooms. Rooms are separated by gender, and they can fit 4-8 students in each. Room requests might be accepted.

  • Meals are crafted by a professional chef, offering organic, homemade dishes that reflect traditional Spanish cuisine. If your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please notify us as soon as possible, and we will accommodate their needs at no additional cost.

  • Safety is our top priority. Our staff is highly trained, and all activities are supervised by certified professionals. We follow strict safety protocols for all adventure activities following the requirements of the government of Castilla y León. The rural lodge is fully reserved for BuenCamino Camps and only campers and educators from BuenCamino  Camps are allowed in. Our ratio is 1:5 (one adult per 5 campers)

  • A detailed packing list will be provided after registration, but essentials include comfortable clothing, a reusable water bottle, sunblock, a hat, and personal toiletries. Campers should also bring any necessary medications in their original packaging with clear instructions. Passport and visas (if needed) are required.

  • Yes, there will be designated times when campers can call home on a daily basis, if desired. However, we encourage limited phone use so campers can fully immerse themselves in the experience. In case of emergencies, you will be contacted immediately.

  • Our trained staff is experienced in supporting children through homesickness. We focus on making campers feel comfortable and connected through fun activities and peer support. If needed, we will contact parents to discuss an individualized approach for their child.

  • While a basic understanding of Spanish is helpful, it is not required. We create a supportive environment where campers can practice Spanish in a fun and natural way.
